Shooting in Desert Hot Springs leads to Palm Springs crash
Palm Springs Police confirmed that a shooting during a botched-robbery in Desert Hot Springs happened just before a three-car accident in Palm Springs.
Around 2 a.m. Sunday, a Toyota Sequoia was speeding when it hit two cars at the intersection of Vista Chino and Indian Canyon.
The driver in the Toyota took off, and police found a passenger with a gunshot wound near the car. It is unclear how many people were involved in the accident and how many people were taken to a nearby hospital. Witnesses tell us a child was hurt in this accident.
UPDATE: PSPD are investigating the crash, while Desert Hot Springs Police are investigating the shooting. Desert Hot Springs police released limited details on a botched robbery, where suspects were shot. Police confirm the botched-robbery suspects are those involved in this crash. Earlier in the night, another crash on Indian Canyon and Racquet Club drive killed a 21-year-old driver and 38-year-old passenger, both from the Los Angeles area. Speed played a factor in that crash. Read more about it here.
