Fire uncovers suspected growing operation
A fire outside a Moreno Valley home Sunday lead authorities to uncover a suspected marijuana grow house.
Firefighters were dispatched at 11:30 a.m. to the 11700 block of Via Colina. Smoke was seen coming out of a small building. Firefighters later radioed the structure was a “confirmed” grow house although authorities did not officially disclose this information.
Marijuana plants were found inside the building, but Riverside County Sheriff’s Cpl. Steve Favero said it was not immediately known how many were there.
No one was arrested in connection with the pot discovery. An investigation was ongoing, Favero said.
