Masked gunmen rob Cabazon business

Deputies from the Cabazon Station are investigating after two men robbed a clerk at gunpoint Sunday night. The robbery happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the Cabazon Country Store, located at 50386 Main St.

The sheriff’s department said the suspects are accused of pointing a handgun at the clerk and demanding money from the cash register. They made off with an unknown amount of money and ran to an awaiting vehicle to flee the area.

The clerk described the suspects as 5’7″ with thin builds, wearing dark colored clothing, gloves and masks covering their faces. The clerk wasn’t able to tell the race or ethnicity of the men. There was no description of the getaway vehicle.
