Newsmaker: Assembly Candidate Chad Mayes

Republican Chad Mayes, who is running for State Assembly in California’s 42nd District, spoke with CBS Local 2’s Brooke Beare in a live Newsmaker segment Friday evening.

Mayes is a former member of Yucca Valley’s town council and Mayor, and is the Chief-of-Staff for a San Bernardino County Supervisor. His opponent, Karalee Hargrove, is a trustee of the Morongo Unified School District.

Incumbent Brian Nestande is termed out. He is currently running for a seat in the US House of Representatives.
