Palm Desert man identified after drowning
A Palm Desert man has been identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office after drowning in a swimming pool at a mobile home park on Saturday night.
Juan Velazquez Perez, 38, was pulled from a swimming pool around 7:40 p.m. at the Palm Desert Mobile Home Park and he was rushed to Eisenhower Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.
The man passed away at the hospital on Sunday shortly after 2 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The mobile home park is located at 43101 Portola Avenue.
The Palm Desert Police Department is looking into the drowning death and additional details aren’t available at this time.
