Two hospitalized in Palm Springs crash, DUI suspected

Two women are in the hospital following a suspected DUI crash in Palm Springs, police said Saturday.

Palm Springs Police Sgt. Frank Guarino reportsaround 12:30 a.m., 30-year-old Cathedral City resident Ashley Wade drove a car at an unknown speed into a traffic pole before flipping over and hitting a water meter at South Palm Canyon and Mesquite.

Water gushed from the meter into the street.

Two women in the car were taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Wade was arrested for felony DUI charges.
