4 arrested for home invasion robbery in Yucca Valley
Four people were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of a home invasion robbery in Yucca Valley. Two of the suspects are young men and the other two are juveniles.
Deputies with the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station said they were called on Monday after someone reported theft in the 56000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway.
The two juveniles and 18-year-old Albert Dupree, all from Yucca Valley, ran away when deputies arrived to the scene but they were caught nearby shortly after, according to the sheriff’s release.
Deputies said they noticed similarities in the suspect’s descriptions from recent robberies and burglaries in Yucca Valley. The investigation then led to the arrest of 22-year-old Deavonte Edmon, also from Yucca Valley.
Edmon was arrested on Tuesday after deputies found him with a key to a stolen vehicle from a home invasion robbery that recently occurred in the 7400 block of Cherokee Trail. The investigation also led to the recovery of two stolen guns from recent robberies, deputies said in the release.
Authorities also found the stolen vehicle, which was returned to the owner.
Arrested:
22-year-old Daevonte Edmon
18-year-old Albert Dupree
17-year-old male juvenile
16-year-old male juvenile
