DHS man & woman arrested in connection to Palm Desert burglary
Police have arrested two suspects after investigating a home burglary that occurred in Palm Desert nearly two and a half months ago.
The Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit began investigating the burglary after it took place near the 43000 block of Cook Street in Palm Desert on May 28.
The investigation didn’t yield many results until Monday, August 10, when a search warrant was served near the 66000 block of 2nd Street in Desert Hot Springs, authorities said in a release.
According to officials, officers found stolen items belonging to the victim, documents and personal identifying information to numerous victims throughout the Coachella Valley. They also found a firearm and evidence of drug sales in the home.
Danny Noriega, 21, and 26-year-old Cataline Perales were both taken into custody after the home was searched.
Police said Noriega was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a firearm, for being a felon in possession of ammunition, and for violating his probation. Perales was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, methamphetamine for sales and possession of a firearm.
They were both booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
