Big rig fire on I-10 west of the Valley creates a SigAlert

A big rig caught fire on Interstate 10 in Loma Linda causing two lanes to be closed while firefighters worked on the scene.

The incident was reported about 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, on the right shoulder of the eastbound side west of Tippecanoe Avenue, said CHP Sgt. Grady Stevens.

The incident triggered a SigAlert and fire crews temporarily blocked the two right lanes, he said.

The SigAlert was cancelled about 1:30 p.m., the sergeant said.
