Police search for Rancho Mirage bank robber

Police continue to search for a man who robbed a Bank of America on Monday, located at Highway 111 and Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage.

They got the call just after 11:00 a.m Monday that a man had just held up the branch. The suspect is only described as a man wearing a black fedora type hat and pink shirt. He simulated some sort of weapon before escaping in an unknown model white sedan.

Riverside County Sheriff Spokesman Mike Vasquez says the robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The bank was shut down for several hours for the investigation.
