Three homes destroyed by fire in Banning
Three homes are destroyed by a vegetation fire in a Banning neighborhood.
The fire started just after 3:00 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Indian School Lane near San Gorgonio Avenue.
The fire engulfed three homes and a pool house and also damaged several outbuildings and fences.
It also burned 2 acres of vegetation before it was contained about 5:00 p.m. Monday night.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The Red Cross is assisting 9 displaced residents.
