Firefighters quickly contain fire near home in Indio
Riverside County Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire near a home in Indio late Monday morning.
The fire broke out on the 81-700 Block of De Plata Avenue near Aladdin Street. When firefighters arrived they found some trees burning between a home and a shed, and it was also burning near a power pole.
It took firefighters about 10 minutes to put the fire out and Cal Fire says they will be on scene for about 30 minutes to mop up the area. Imperial Irrigation has also been called out to check on the pole. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
