Firefighters save 6 homes near Thermal brush fire
Firefighters contained a blaze in Thermal that was burning in a 1/4 acre of debris and burning near six mobile homes.
Officials with Cal Fire said the blaze sparked at 4:12 p.m. in the 88800 block Avenue 70, which is near Pierce Street.
The fire at one point, fueled by strong winds, threatened six mobile homes nearby. None of the structures sustained any damage says Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
