All schools will be open Wednesday in Big Bear area
All schools will be open in the Bear Valley Unified School District Wednesday after closures Monday and Tuesday because of the Summit Fire.
Firefighters continue to battle the fire burning near the Snow Summit Ski Resort just south of Big Bear Lake.
The fire started Sunday afternoon and has burned about 100 acres. It was holding steady at 50 percent contained Tuesday night.
All evacuations were lifted Monday afternoon.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
