Summit Fire at 30 percent containment
The Summit Fire is 30 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.
That is down from 50 percent containment Monday morning.
The blaze broke out Sunday and burned 100 acres south of Big Bear Lake near Snow Summit ski resort.
Fire crews are working to clear dead and burned trees within the fire area.
All schools in the Bear Valley Unified School District except for Fallsvale School are closed to students and staff.
Mandatory evacuations for hundreds of people in the area have been lifted.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
