Stabbing in Palm Springs stemmed from bar fight

The Palm Springs Police Department is looking for multiple suspects after two people were stabbed with an unknown object near the downtown parking garage early Monday morning.

According to Lieutenant Mike Kovaleff, the investigation revealed the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out at the Village Pub, located at 266 South Palm Canyon Drive.

Officers were called to the scene around 1:42 a.m. Monday when several people began fighting in the bar. Officers said the fight continued in the alley after the subjects were escorted out of the business.

Kovaleff said one patron and one employee sustained lacerations from an unknown sharp object. They were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center but were later released.

The suspects ran from the scene and they haven’t been located. Officers said they were described as four Hispanic men but no other details were available.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Palm Springs Police Department at 760-323-8116 or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
