Taylor Fritz is feeling himself in the desert.
Back in the semifinals for the second consecutive year, but this time powers himself into the men's final beating (7) Andrey Rublev.

Fritz must of remembered what that feeling was like losing in the semi's in October, and fueled his tank to get over the hump today. Served beautifully and both of his ground-strokes were flying off the strings.
Last 🇺🇸 to make the finals in men's draw - Isner 2012...lost to Federer 7-6 6-3

Last 🇺🇸 to win #IndianWells - Andre Agassi 2001...beat Pete Sampras 7-6 7-5 6-1 (when played best of 5) @KESQ @BNPPARIBASOPEN
But Fritz will have his toughest test yet, for the biggest title of his career.
Rafa
35-years-old.
21 Grand Slam titles.
And now a chance for his fourth Indian Wells title.

Hats off to Alcaraz for putting up an incredible fight. 18-years-old, Spanish tennis is in good hands.
But Nadal and Alcaraz were also fighting against a third party.
Wind.
