Coachella police ask for public’s help in finding carjacker
Coachella police are asking for help from the public in finding a man who shot a woman and then stole her car.
It happened around 5:00 Saturday morning at the 53-500 block of Harrison Street in Coachella.
The woman who was shot told police a man had stolen her vehicle at gunpoint and then shot her.
She was taken to a hospital and is expected to fully recover.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, in his 20’s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build.
He was last seen traveling north on Harrison Street.
The woman’s car was found abandoned near Douma Street and Avenue 52 in Coachella.
