Suspect in Indio vehicle theft also facing drug and weapons charges
Police say a search of two Indio homes Tuesday resulted in the recovery of two guns, ammunition and Methamphetamine for sales.
Riverside County Sheriffs Deputies served warrants at two homes, one near the 43000 block of Wild Rose St., the other along the 82000 block of Olivera Way.
Investigators were following up on a past vehicle burglary in Palm Desert near the 72000 block of Highway 74.
The initial burglary was reported before July 26.
Police identified and arrested a suspect in the crime, Yesenia Pacheco Palomino, 28, October 13.
The Indio woman posted $35,000 bail the next day and was released from custody.
Detectives say Palomino used the victim’s credit cards shortly after the vehicle break-in at a local area business.
She was also found to be in possession of the victim’s additional stolen property.
Tuesday’s search warrants also led to the arrest of an Indio resident, Basilio Gonzalez, 57, for an unrelated outstanding domestic violence warrant.
Palomino was set to be in court December 9.
