Police: Man punches ‘NCIS’ actress near her Hollywood home
Authorities say a man attacked “NCIS” star Pauley Perrette in front of her Hollywood home, punching her in the face several times.
The actress tweeted that she thought she was going to die Thursday night. Perrette says the man grabbed her, punched her repeatedly and told her he was going to kill her. Then, she says he told her to leave and she collapsed after fleeing.
Perrette tweeted that she called a friend who tracked the man and led police to him a few blocks away.
Los Angeles police Officer Jane Kim confirmed that the actress’ account of the attack was accurate.
Kim says 45-year-old David Merck was arrested and booked on suspicion of aggravated battery. Bail was set at $100,000.
Police say records don’t list an attorney for Merck.
