Hundreds kick off New Year’s resolutions at color run in Palm Desert
People made good on some of their New Year’s resolutions at the Galen New Year’s Resolution 5k Color Run in Palm Desert Saturday.
It was the third time the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert has hosted the run.
Runners and pets covered in colors ran to support the various programs the museum offers.
“We have first Fridays where we have music in the sculpture garden. We do yoga on Wednesdays. We have a lecture series. We do art classes for students,” said Arlene Amick at the museum. “We have a lecture series. We do art classes for students. It all goes into those programs so we don’t have to charge for it.”
Athletes of all ages received awards for starting the new year on the right foot. Some told us their resolutions were to get more sleep and live a healthier life.
