One person in hospital after crash in Mecca

One person is recovering in the hospital Sunday morning following a car accident in Mecca on Highway 111 and Fourth Street around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

A portion of Highway 111 was closed while crews cleaned the scene.

Cal Fire said on person was extracted and was taken to the hospital by helicopter in serious condition.

All lanes are back open along Highway 111.
