Child witnesses testify against Yoder in child porn ring trial

Two final child witnesses testified Monday in the trial of a former Coachella Valley special education instructor accused of molestation and running a child porn ring.

43-year old John David Yoder has pleaded not guilty to 12 felony charges including human trafficking of a child and lewd acts with a child.

Last week, former co-defendant Erick Monsivais testified that yoder was a pedophile who allowed young boys in his care to smoke marijuana and view child pornography.

Monsivais had been scheduled to go on trial with Yoder but was removed as a defendant last month after pleading guilty to five felonies in exchange for a 45-year prison sentence.

He agreed to testify against yoder as part of the deal.

Testimony is set to resume Tuesday with an 18-year old who lived with Yoder who prosecutors say witnessed yoder molest an adolescent victim.
