Site of only public CV tennis club to become housing development
The site of the only public tennis club in the Coachella Valley will soon be turned into a housing development.
The land that houses the Plaza Racquet Club in Palm Springs is for sale. That sale is now going through after Palm Springs City Council determined not to make it a historic site at Wednesday night’s meeting.
But News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 have learned that this may not be the end for the club that’s been a fixture in the valley for over 40 years.
Plans are in the works to build a new facility.
Megan Terlecky will have all the details coming up in a full report Thursday night on KESQ and CBS Local 2.
