Man facing manslaughter charges in Cathedral City crash

A man is in jail in connection to a deadly crash in Cathedral City.

Twenty-three-year-old Emanuele Trombini, of Palm Desert, is facing manslaughter charges for the crash that happened on Feb. 25.

Cathedral City police said Trombini was driving over a 100 mph on East Palm Canyon when he rear-ended a Toyota Camry with four people inside.

Fifty-year-old Caryn Clemente was killed.

Her passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Trombini is accused of driving under the influence of controlled substances at the time of the crash.

His bail was set at $1 million.
