Woman in critical condition after falling out of car in Palm Springs

An 18-year old Desert Hot Springs woman is in critical condition after falling from a car near a Palm Springs Country Club on Monday afternoon.

Officers with the Palm Springs Police Department said they got a call just after 2 p.m. about a woman lying in the roadway on the 2300 block of Pebble Beach Drive, near the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort.

Authorities said the woman was a passenger in a vehicle and fell out, landing in the roadway. The driver, a 17-year old male, remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Palm Springs police shut down the roadway for a couple of hours while investigating the incident, which they said is just being ruled as an accident at this time.

Police are asking anyone that might have witnessed the incident to call the Palm Springs Police Department at (760) 323-8116 or Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
