Local casino pays tribute to Prince
One Valley Casino is paying tribute to Prince in a very special way. Friday the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage will be illuminated in Purple, in tribute to the rock legend, where later they will host a dance party in his honor.
Earlier today a private tribute was placed on stage at the Show, inside the Casino. Staff placed a guitar signed by Prince on stage, illuminated in purple lights. A casino spokeswoman says that they have been collecting some rock memorabilia for Waters Cafe for the last 2 1/2 years, one of those items is the signed guitar owned by Prince.
The guitar will be one of the items on display during Friday night’s Purple Dance Party which begins at 9:00 p.m and runs until 1:00 a.m. People are encouraged to wear purple to the dance party.
