Broken Yolk Cafe to take over Chop House in Palm Springs

KESQ and CBS Local 2 has learned the new plans for the recently closed Chop House and The Grind in downtown Palm Springs. Owners of the Chop House announced the closure on May 31.

On Thursday, we heard from the owners of the Broken Yolk Cafe in La Quinta, and they said their restaurant will be taking over the real estate of The Chop House – adding more breakfast competition downtown.

In addition to the restaurant change, The Grind bar above The Chop House will be turned into a bar called ‘Moxie’, which will offer small plates for dining. Moxie will also have karaoke, according to owners of the Broken Yolk Cafe.

Jennifer Baab and Oscar Baab are the owners of the Broken Yolk Cafe in La Quinta and the one in Temecula. Oscar is from Spain and immigrated to the United States for a better life, while Jennifer is originally from Temecula/San Diego.

KESQ and CBS Local 2 will keep you updated when the new businesses take over the space.
