On Tuesday at 3:50 PM, officers from the Calimesa Police Department responded to a traffic collision on San Timoteo Canyon Road near Palmer Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles were involved in the collision. One vehicle was a small compact car, and the other was a pickup truck. The driver of the small compact car, 36-year-old Julia Atkins from Beaumont, was found within the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
