Trial date set for man accused of ripping off Coachella festival-goers
A trial date is now set for a Palm Springs man accused of ripping off Coachella festival-goers out of tens of thousands of dollars.
Robert Enriquez, 59, is charged with 23 counts each of grand theft for allegedly collecting more than $55,000 over the course of the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival weekends.
Investigators said he did this through advertising on Air BNB and CraigsList that his Indian Wells home was available for rent during the festival weekends. But Enriquez did not own that home and didn’t respond after being paid from renters.
The trial is set for the Sept. 12.
