Inland Empire gas price rises for eighth day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Wednesday for the eighth consecutive day,
increasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.64.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 5.1
cents over the past eight days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Tuesday,
according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The increases follow a 35-day streak of decreases totaling 30.1 cents,
which dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 11.
The average price is 4.7 cents more than one week ago but 17.1 cents
less than one month ago and 98.4 cents lower than one year ago.
