29th annual Hoedown at Sundown raises funds for YMCA

Lots of people could be seen donning their hats and boots at Agua Caliente, all for a good cause. Saturday night, many came out for the 29th annual Hoedown at Sundown. People were treated to a hearty Western dinner, and took part in lots of entertainment and live and silent auctions, all in part to raise money for the Family YMCA of the Desert. “The Y raises funds to ensure that all of the programs, all of the good things that it does can be available to anyone and everyone,” Board Member Sabby Jonathan said. CBS Local 2’s Patrick Evans hosted the live auction. Some of the items up for auction at the event included a helicopter ride with the Sheriff’s Department, as well as travel and home renovation packages.
