Palm Desert Macy’s launches annual Believe campaign

Friday morning was the launch of Macy’s annual Believe campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Macy’s at the Westfield Palm Desert opened it’s doors bright and early on Veterans Day to volunteers and Wish Kids for our cameras.

Friday through the rest of the holiday season, you can drop off your Santa’s wish list at one of the big red mailboxes at Macy’s, and for every letter sent, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for children with life threatening conditions.

“For every letter we get in the big red box, we get a dollar,” President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire Stephanie McCormick said, “Over the course of the past 13 years, Macy’s has actually collectively donated over $100 million. Do you realize for Make-A-Wish that is three wishes a day.”

Coachella Valley’s local Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter has granted 5,600 wishes to children living in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties since 1983.
