Animal Samaritans hosts 7th annual Men of the Desert Fashion Show Charity Luncheon

Animal Samaritans hosted their 7th annual Men of the Desert Fashion Show and Charity Luncheon. More than 300 people gathered at Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Thousand Palms Sunday. The money raised on Sunday goes straight to the Animal Samaritans’ animal rescue program.

The event generates about $28,000 to $40,000 each year. Recently, the group rescued their 10-thousandth animal. Animal Samaritan CEO, Tom Snyder, says the rescues are made possible because of charity events.

“The way we make money today, is through our silent auction, it’s perfect timing with the holidays. We’ve got golf packages, high end jewelry, hand bags for the ladies, trips for the men, all kinds of great prizes. It’s a great way to have a great day and also support the animals,” said Snyder.

KESQ’s very own, Jeff Stahl and Bianca Rae, were honored for their commitment to Animal Samaritans and animal welfare. The group’s next fundraising event is “Paws for Clause” Dec. 17.
