DHS police investigate woman’s suspicious death

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after officers were called to the 66200 block of Desert View Avenue near Cactus Drive early Monday morning on a report of an unresponsive woman.

The woman, whom officers said was about 40-years-old, was deceased when police arrived to the scene. Authorities haven’t released her identity yet.

Information surrounding the woman’s death is limited at this time. Detectives are in the beginning stages of the investigation, but they are calling the death suspicious.

Anyone with information about the case, or anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the early morning hours on Monday, is asked to call the DHS Police Detective Bureau at 760 329-2904, ext. 382 or 314.
