Earthquake rocks High Desert

An earthquake shook up Morongo Valley this morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 9:56 a.m. Wednesday quake was magnitude 3.9 and occurred 6 miles beneath the San Bernardino Mountains about 10 miles north of Morongo Valley.

The earthquake was originally recorded as a 4.1 before being downgraded.

Viewers reported feeling the earthquake all throughout the Coachella Valley and High Desert.

A small 2.6 aftershock was reported minutes later.
