5th Annual Swimathon this Saturday
5th annual New Year’s Swimathon takes place Saturday, benefiting Angel View’s Outreach Program.
The Swimathon will be at the Palm Springs Swim Center on 405 South Pavilion Way in Palm Springs at 9 a.m. Saturday December 31st.
The annual fundraiser is for Angel View’s Outreach Program, which provides essential supports and services to more than 600 local children with disabilities.
A number of Angel View clients will be on hand to cheer the expected 40-50 swimmers. Swimmers swim 100 yards, 100 times for a total of 10,000 yards (or 400 wall touches) although there is no requirement to finish the entire distance. Participants typically finish the 10K in approximately three hours.
