Tool thieves caught on camera in Bermuda Dunes

A maintenance supervisor in Bermuda Dunes says he had $9,000 worth of tools stolen from his tool building in recent weeks.

The second time the robbers hit his unit, one of the tenants at the complex was able to capture the suspects on camera. Now the victim, Jim Justice, is hoping the community will help him identify the suspects.

“I want these guys to be caught because it’s ridiculous that they would steal someone’s tools. That’s how I make my living. It’s the lowest of the low, I think,” said Justice.

Other tenants say they feel uneasy.

“”It’s happening in our own backyard…He [Justice] has a family he has to take care of, now he has to buy tools. That’s not fair, it’s not right,” said one tenant.

Riverside County Sheriff’s say the burglaries were reporter and they are investigating the thefts.
