Police find assault weapon in home of vandalism suspect

Police found an assault weapon while conducting a search of a vandalism suspect’s residence.

According to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

19-year old Pablo Cruz Jr was arrested after police found an assault weapon & a high capacity magazine during a search of his residence on the 12-600 block of Maui Lane in Desert Hot Springs.

The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force had issued a search warrant of Cruz’s residence after they identified him as a possible suspect in an investigation of a vandalism that occurred on December 29th.
