ABC’s powerful new miniseries, ‘When We Rise’, premiered Monday at 9 p.m.
A special screening of the premier took place at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. for those who wanted to see it on the big screen.
Creators said the show highlights the decades-long struggle for LGBT rights, charting the movement from its time in the late 1960s to the continued battle in the present.
The Mary Pickford Theatre is located at 36850 Pickfair Street.
