PGA West announces plans to build state-of-the-art Sports Club

Officials at PGA West have announced plans to build a new four-acre, multi-generational Sports Club, set to open in early 2018.

The facility will feature world-class amenities, including a fitness center, spa, a 25-yard lap pool, bocce ball and Petanque courts, a dog park and a drive-up movie area for golf carts, according to a release. Other exciting features include tennis, pickleball, volleyball and basketball courts.

There is also plans for a 22-hole putting course, restaurant and a fully stocked open-air bar with a fire pit, according to PGA officials.

“In order to both meet the expectations of our current Members and grow new Membership, PGA WEST® is once again creating the vision for the future and setting itself apart from the competition,” said Jennifer Jenkins, Director of Marketing & Membership Sales. “Unique attractions like the kids splash area and drive-up movie theater will ensure that families enjoy PGA WEST® together for years to come.”

Organizers said golf will remain the focal point at PGA West, but the new Sports Club will be open throughout the the year offering curated programs and activities for all ages and interests.

Construction is expected to begin on the new Sports Club in May.
