SO IF YOU ARE A FAN OF HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SPORTS IN THE VALLEY YOU’VE PROBABLY HEARD THE NAME ANTHONY MANTANONA – A PALM DESERT AZTEC WITH A STATE AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP UNDER HIS SUPER MAN BELT.

BUT HE MIGHT NOT EVEN BEN THE BEST IN HIS FAMILY.

THERE’S 12 YEAR OLD BEAU MANTANONA.

“They keep telling me I am going to be better them then so it makes me think how good I can actually be. I think I can win a couple state titles and make it on to the national level.”

AND 11 YEAR OLD BROCK.

“Be just like them, be on the state podium.”

AND OF COURSE STATE QUALIFIER TROY MANTANONA. ONLY GETTING BETTER WITH A STRONG SHOT AT TAKING HIS OWN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

SO ANTHONY BETTER KEEP HIS HEAD ON A SWIVEL CAUSE THEY’RE COMING!

“Be better than he is, that is pretty much my goal”

“They are definately ahead of where he is, or was”

“I think they are going to be a lot better than me, win 4-state titles dominately. These kids are the best kids in the country, every tournament they dominate and it’s great I could get it started for them and my school..”

WRESTLING NOT JUST A HOBBY FOR THE MANTANONA FAMILY, BUT A WAY OF LIFE, HOURS SPENT IN THEIR DAD’S GYM FINE CRAFTING THEIR SKILL.

“Countless hours, grueling hours training hard in this gym. It is a pretty important spot to me.”

AND AN OLDER BROTHER GUIDING THE PATH FOR SUCCESS – TOUGH SHOES TO WALK IN SOMETIMES – AND TOUGH SHOES TO FILL FOR HIS BROTHERS.
BUT THE MANTANONA FAMILY IS THERE FOR EACH OTHER EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

“All the kids here look up to him and make the kids believe they can do something like he has done”

“We have been partners since diapers, always been eachothers go to. Wrestle in the garage after school”

“Same time I look up to them, they are hard workers, watch how there games work. We both feed off eachother, the whole family, work with eachother and try to figure out what we are good at. All work together, it is pretty sweet.”
