Lifestream blood bank offers In-N-Out gift cards to blood donors in Palm Springs

LifeStream Blood Bank will host three blood drives in Palm Springs today, with In-N-Out Burger gift cards available to donors.

The first drive will get underway at 8 a.m. at Walmart, 5601 E. Ramon Road. Donations will be accepted until 10 a.m. From noon until 3 p.m., prospective donors can head to Alpha Media at 1321 Gene Autry Trail. A final event will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club at 450 S. Sunrise Way.

Donors at today’s events will each receive $5 In-N-Out gift cards, according to LifeStream’s Don Escalante.

Donors must be at least 15 years old, free of infections or illnesses, and weight at least 110 pounds. Parental consent is required for any donors under the age of 18. Donors also will receive a free “mini-physical” as part
of the donation process.

Those between the ages of 18 and 44 may also register for a Be The Match bone marrow screening free of charge.
