Fire badly damages Palm Springs apartment
Firefighters were called to an apartment fire on the 700 block of Riverside Place Friday morning at 6:37 a.m.
Firefighters said one apartment unit was fully engulfed in flames at the Sunny stones Complex on Riverside Place, which is near South Palm Canyon Drive, just south of Ramon Road.
No injuries were reported, but significant damage was reported to the structure. Eleven other apartment units were spared.
It took firefighters approximately a half hour to contain the flames.

The fire was limited to one unit.Nobody was at the home at the time.
A neighbor tells KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 News he noticed flames inside the building, then saw the windows break.
