Motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision on Gene Autry Trail

The Palm Springs Police Department is investigating a collision that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Monday afternoon. The crash happened just before 2 p.m., south of I-10.

PSPD officers shut down northbound traffic on Gene Autry Trail while they cleared the wreck. They opened one lane at about 2:15 p.m. as they continued to investigate the crash.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the rider’s injuries or the other vehicle involved. KESQ and CBS Local 2 are at the scene working to get more information. We’ll have updates as soon as we hear back from police.
