Police looking for suspect in Beaumont bank robbery

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Beaumont bank Monday just before noon.

At approximately 11:52 am, the Beaumont Police Department received an alarm activation call at the Citibank Bank, located in the 700 block of Beaumont Avenue

According to police, a male suspect entered the bank, passed a demand note to a teller and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Within minutes officers arrived at the location and set up a perimeter, but were unable to locate a suspect.

This is an on-going investigation; further details are not being released at this time.
