Cathedral City sanctuary city vote expected today

Cathedral City leaders are expected to hear more from the public tonight on whether to become an official sanctuary city.

A vote on the proposal could also come tonight.

If approved, the move would make Cathedral City the first in the Coachella Valley to officially take on the controversial designation.

Los Angeles and San Francisco are sanctuary cities.
