Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall returns to Desert Hot Springs

The massive wall, also known as the “Vietnam Healing Wall”, is back at Mission Springs Park in Desert Hot Springs.

The wall is a scaled-down replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. and features the names of the nearly 58,500 service men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country.

“When we come to view this wall, this is for us. This is our memorial, this is our funeral. We can still pay tribute, and still honor those we fought side by side with,” said Vietnam Veteran Edward B. Johnson.

The wall will be open for viewing 24 hours a day at Mission Springs Park through Monday.
