Patrick Evans is News Channel 3’s morning and noon meteorologist, Host of Eye on the Desert, and host of afternoon drive on KPSF Studio 100.9 FM/1200 AM from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Matthew Pearce joined KESQ News Channel 3 as a multimedia journalist and weekend weathercaster in June 2026. Matthew’s passion for broadcasting began in high school, where he first got involved in television production in 2018. In 2021, he stepped in front of the weather wall for the first time while forecasting for Eagle TV 2.0

Gavin Nguyen joined KESQ News Channel 3 as a multimedia journalist and weekend weathercaster in June 2024. Gavin discovered his passion for storytelling while attending Portola High School in Irvine. He joined his school’s broadcast news program, Portola News Network, in 2017. Gavin continued at Chapman University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism
