Small plane which took off from Palm Springs crashes in Northern California

Officials say a small plane bound from Palm Springs to Northern California crashed near an airport in Santa Rosa, killing both people on board. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor tells The Associated Press that the single-engine Piper PA-24 crashed under unknown circumstances Thursday night on its final approach to Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport.
